Question: By Omid "Would you please let me know what would be the equal for "Baa in tafaavot ke ..." in English? I thought about it along but couldn't find a good expression."
Answer:by Dr. R: I suggest using the simplest equivalents, which in this case is "Except," as in:
- Both countries fought Iraq, ExceptIran was invaded by Iraq and U.S. invaded Iraq.
Q:By Anonymous: "Would you please explain the exact difference between "Since" and "Because". It has never been clear for me.
A: Dr. R.: "Because" more appropriately shows the cause and effect, although "Since" is used often in conversation. The subtle difference may be that "Since" is better used in the beginning of a sentence and "Because" is used in the middle, as in:
- Since you don't work today, we can go to the park. - We can go to the park because you don't work today.
